An analysis of the impact of global oil price fluctuations on the indicators of financial sustainability in Iraq for the period (2003 - 2019)

Abstract The research aimed to analyze the impact of fluctuations in global oil prices on the indicators of financial sustainability in Iraq for the period (2003-2019), and the research concluded that Iraq suffers from the fragility of financial sustainability due to the impact of the sources of financing of the general budget of the state by the fluctuations that occur in global oil prices, and accordingly requires the Iraqi government to rationalize and control government spending in line with public revenues and invest public expenditures and direct them to achieve the maximum possible benefit and contribute to the development of other economic sectors Oil, as well as taking real steps to diversify budget funding sources to reduce the impact of oil fluctuations in order to reduce the growing public debt.
