Behavioural effects resulting from the demonstrators' reliance on satirical TV program sites regarding Tishreen's popular activity in Iraq

Abstract
The problem of this research was summarized in identifying the behavioral effects resulting from the demonstrators’ reliance on the satirical TV program sites regarding the popular Tishreen movement in Iraq. And the extent of the public’s participation in a popular movement or a political event called for by one of the satirical program sites? The aim of the research is to identify the extent to which the public relies on satirical program sites in activating the popular movement. As well as identifying the extent of public participation in a popular movement or political event called for by one of the satirical program sites. This research was based on the main hypothesis: the audience’s interaction in various forms with the clips of satirical television programs on social networks leads them to specific behaviors in reality. The research reached a number of results, the most important of which are: The majority (53.8%) of the respondents agreed that satirical television programs led them to engage in dialogues and discussions with others on important topics and issues such as the popular movement. Interaction with the public on satirical television programs motivated (51.4%) of the respondents to participate in the protest demonstrations. A lot (45.6%) of the respondents agreed that watching satirical television programs on social media broke the barrier of fear and made them take the decision to demonstrate. The research correlation test showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the behavioral effects resulting from reliance on satirical television programs sites regarding the popular movement according to the gender variable. The correlation test of the research showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the behavioral effects resulting from reliance on satirical television programs sites against the popular movement according to the governorate variable.
