Abstract
Despite the steady and escalating progress in information technology, its tremendous advantages are, on the other hand, accompanied by a number of serious negative repercussions, including the phenomenon of digital crime, which necessitated the presence of security guarantees within this digital environment. It is one of the most important technological developments in the world and the destination of many in the field of digital computing in terms of protecting data, networks and electronic systems from attacks and breaches that have eliminated them and threaten their stability. Deep as a new variable in international relations. In this study, which was conducted for the purpose of determining the trends and levels of awareness of cyber security in distance education, the target group included employees, university students, researchers and academics who participated in the study.
The objective of this study is to demonstrate the potential of cyber security education and the significance of security threat awareness in the process of reforming education. In addition to a suggestion for potential development of instructional techniques for cyber security based on machine learning and security analytics models, the paper should offer an overview of the state of the present cyber security field and technology in this field. To achieve the objectives of the study, the quantitative descriptive analytical approach was followed and the results showed that the participants in the study had a medium degree of awareness of each of the concepts of cyber security, cyber security risks, and cyber security violations; it was also found that there were no statistically significant differences at the level (0.05).
The study suggests that in order to increase public awareness of the value of cyber security and foster effective participation in raising awareness among others, it is crucial to design new educational curricula appropriate for distance learning and create a sophisticated virtual learning environment.
