Employing service television programs to enhance media oversight on sustainable development projects

Abstract
This study examines the media censorship of service programs and how to employ service television programs in Iraqi satellite channels to enhance censorship. The research problem revolves around the main question of the research: “How did the Iraqi satellite channels employ service television programs in enhancing the supervisory function and its relationship to the public’s trends?”. The research aims to identify the public’s motives for viewing service television programs on Iraqi satellite channels, and to reveal the extent of the contribution of television programs Service in enhancing the supervisory function in Iraqi satellite channels, and determining the level of public satisfaction with the preparation and performance of service television programs on Iraqi satellite channels. The study used the descriptive approach by relying on scientific tools to obtain the required data and information that can meet the requirements of the research. One of the most prominent scientific uses of the study is the content analysis form in order to collect information about the contents of the service television programs in the Iraqi satellite channels in question. The study also uses the survey method. Because it is considered the most appropriate in dealing with what is related to the study of the public, and it is the most used in scientific research on various knowledge and topics. The study dealt with a number of important topics that include the television monitoring function, the concept, types and elements of oversight, and the analytical aspect that dealt with the performance of functions for service programs, which are the Al-Watan wa Al-Nas program broadcast by Al-Iraqiya satellite channel, the margin program on the Asia channel, and the Ahl Al-Madina program on Al-Sharqiya satellite channel.
The study reached the results of a number of results, which are summarized in the participation of service television programs in Iraqi satellite channels by activating the supervisory function of the media regarding the service reality in the country, in addition to the fact that the study directed its media messages to the government and state institutions because it is the executive authority concerned with addressing the problems of the service reality, besides Diagnosing citizens are the active forces in the programs of the homeland and the people on the Al-Iraqiya satellite channel and the people of the city on the Al Sharqiya satellite channel, while the government, experts and specialists were the most prominent active forces in the marginal program of the Asia satellite channel.
